How love Works

I will write a poem out of saved texts Michelle sent me. Rule: I can not just take one word, it has to be two+ words next to each other.

When I think about how much i wish i was with you, it almost hurts. I'm not lyng when i say i really, really need a hug. Mostly just because i'd be in your arms.
You're an amazing guy who makes this special girl smile. A lot :)
You're always on my mind. I'm glad you said it too, because i wanted to say it but couldn't. You are so important to me.
I love you :) You're one of the very best things in my life.

I don't realize how much i miss you sometimes. And then all at once it takes all i have not to jump in the car and drive to see you and kiss you and hug you.

What I came up with in conclusion: it is REALLY easy to write poetry. I finished this piece in just two hours. So many times I wish I had an extra word, (that texts simply lacked) to make the line shine with rhythm or humor. Yet I didn’t and only was able to work with what I had. My result is below and honestly, I think I did a pretty good job. Friggin ego…

How love works (a.k.a. Recycled Love)
This special girl – amazing guy don't realize.
It takes a lot with you. All I have.
I couldn’t wait. You said it too. Miss you sometimes.
I felt like happiness and love. I'm glad.

When I say I was going to burst,
I was not lying. It almost hurts…
Who's there? A smile? “Have a wonderful day,
I love you. I'll see you.” You can make my day.

Then all at once:
A smile that's going to last all day!
Think about you –
Just how much my mind wanted to say.

Last night, I know, I really wish
To jump and drive, to see and kiss.
Best things? A mofo my life. I know.
Be in your arms, my dear? Always on!
